Spay/Neuter Program

Program initiative

This program has been created to offer low cost spay/neuters to pet owners and caretakers with genuine financial need.  It is designed to provide a spay or neuter procedure for one animal per household. SCAF plays a vital role in helping to control the animal population in the St. Croix Valley community. We realize that during these tough economic times, the need for assistance in caring for animal friends may be greater than in the recent past. We work with a state-wide organization, the community, and pet owners to help ensure pets are spayed or neutered.

How the Program Works

Low cost spay/neuters are offered at your cost of $25 per animal to those with genuine financial need. Applications will receive a response within 14 days. SCAF works with a network of local veterinarians who have reduced their prices for this low cost program.  SCAF subsidizes the remainder of the cost. If your application is approved, you will be given a Spay/Neuter Certificate that is redeemable at participating veterinary offices.
