Vision
Our vision is two-fold:
- To promote a positive relationship between animals and people through education and community programs.
- To provide animals with a compassionate experience in a temporary residence, and to assist them in finding their forever home.
Mission
- To offer a safe refuge, nourishment and opportunity for a better life for unwanted, abused or injured animals.
- To promote responsible pet ownership through humane education and spay/neuter programs in the area.
- To work to unite lost animals with owners and place unwanted animals in caring homes.
- To build communication and community support so people will value animals and treat them with kindness and respect.
- To provide care and respect through the life and death of the animal using qualified veterinary professionals.

Who We Are
St. Croix is the fastest growing county in the State of Wisconsin. With that growth comes the need to care for the overpopulation of homeless animals in our community.
Currently, there is no animal shelter in St. Croix County. As a result, many animals are being sent to shelters outside St. Croix County communities.
In December 2005, a group of concerned citizens met and formed St. Croix Animal Friends (SCAF), a non-profit organization that plans to build an Animal Adoption & Education Center in St. Croix County.
Plans
SCAF is currently searching for land to build our Animal Adoption & Education Center. Our number one need is land and financial support to get the center built. The longer we wait, the higher the potential for more animals to lose their lives to homelessness, starvation and abuse. We must find land!
