On 5/3/08, St. Croix Animal Friends hosted it's 2nd annual Raise the Woof Animal Walk at beautiful Mary Park in New Richmond.  The event was a phenomenal success and everyone had a fabulous time!  Registrants enjoyed background music provided by KMZ DJ's and free ice-cream sandwiches courtesy of Cedar Crest ice-cream. S.C.A.F. members Barb and Tim Kern lead the 1.3 mile Walk with their collies Laddie and Ginger.  All of the animals had a great time socializing with each other and getting their pictures taken in their S.C.A.F. bandannas!  Cheri Morton of Pine Lake Pastures brought her amazing therapy ponies who graced the event with their presence and gentle temperament.  The "Button Guy" was on site to give proud owners a chance to buy buttons, magnets, or coffee mugs with pictures of their pets on them.  Refreshments donated by the Apple River Coffee Co., gourmet baker Sherry Mentel, and Coca-Cola were available for purchase at the concession area.  Grand prize winners for top pledges were: Lanette Barnes, who won a flat screen TV, Douglas Van Dyke Jr., who won an iPod, Shelby Ducklow, who won a portable DVD player w/SD Card, Hunter Neubarth, who won a boys' bike, and Amanda Webster, who won a girls' bike.  Door prizes awarded to lucky attendees included portable outdoor grills, tote bags, tumbler sets, and a variety of toys for the children.  A representative from the New Richmond newspaper attended the Walk to take pictures and capture the highlights of the day.  Thanks to our generous sponsors, awesome volunteers, and everyone who attended the Walk, a grand total of $6,869.79 was raised on behalf of homeless animals!

Blast from the Past

St. Croix Animal Friends hosted a dinner and dance fundraiser on Saturday, March 29th at the Valley House in Hudson. Friends and families enjoyed great food, great music, and the chance to walk down memory lane, and listen to and dance to music by KMZ.

4th Annual Tim Linehan Memorial Benefit Fundraiser
 Benefits St. Croix Animal Friends

St. Croix Animal Friends was chosen as one of the recipients of raised funds from this annual fundraising event.  Sandy Linehan, wife of the late Tim Linehan, carries on the tradition of giving in honor of her late husband who owned Johnnie's Bar in River Falls for 30 years.
To date, they have raised over $30,000 which is given to many organizations and provides vocal music scholarships at the high school. They have also donated over $15,000 to the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation for future giving in our region. St. Croix Animal Friends thanks Sandy for the generous donation.
